Contemplative Spirituality & Trauma

WSD

JULIET LIU

We are living in times of widespread individual and collective trauma. For trauma survivors, the Church can be a place of healing, but it can also be a place of real harm if we are unaware of the impact of our theology, structures, and practices. How do we ensure our expression of spirituality is one which offers healing and restoration? This workshop will cover the basics of individual and collective trauma while also offering contemplative spirituality and its practices as a trauma-informed approach for our leadership and community.
